By using Statutia you agree to these terms. They’re short, and written to match how the site actually works.
General information, not professional advice
Statutia is published by Carefree Charters LLC, an independent publisher. We are not a law firm, accountant, registered agent, formation service or government agency. Nothing on this site is legal, tax or financial advice, and using it doesn’t create any professional relationship. For advice about your situation, talk to a licensed professional.
Accuracy: verify before you act
We link every figure to its source and date, and remove figures we haven’t re-checked within 120 days. Fees, prices and rules still change without notice, and we can make mistakes. Confirm fees, deadlines and requirements on the official state site, and prices at the provider’s checkout, before you rely on them. Report errors through our contact page; corrections are logged on the methodology page.
Tools and calculators
Our calculator, deadline tool and Letter Check run in your browser and produce estimates from the data shown on the site. They don’t check your LLC’s standing or any government record, and their results are not advice.

Using our content
Our open datasets are licensed CC BY 4.0: reuse them with credit (“Source: Statutia, statutia.com”). Other text and design are © Statutia; quote briefly with a link. Don’t scrape the site in a way that disrupts it, or present our content as official government information.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Carefree Charters LLC isn’t liable for losses arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including decisions about filings, deadlines or providers. Third-party sites we link to are governed by their own terms.
